Michael received a B.A. degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 2010, and a M.Sc. degree in Environmental Studies from California State University, Fullerton in 2012. Since adolescence, Michael has been actively interested and engaged in solving social and environmental issues. As such, he worked with Greenpeace, Amnesty International, 350.org, and Sierra Club on various campaigns to further that goal. Although only 25, he has held a number of different positions, from translator, guide, waiter and housekeeper, environmental and human rights activist, to political commentator, elections assistant, foreign language teacher, self-employed entrepreneur, event planner, and retail solar advisor. Along the way, he has lived in four countries, and learned five foreign languages. He joined GoodSpeaks as an intern in January 2013.
